Irvine, CA (July 12, 2007) - ASICS is proud to announce its exclusive partnership as Title Sponsor and official Supplier of Athletic Footwear, Apparel and Accessories for Willowbrook Volleyball Club (Houston, Texas). In addition, as part of this agreement, the Club will now be designated as the ASICS Willowbrook Volleyball Club.

Organized in the year 2000, Willowbrook Volleyball Club has become one of the largest volleyball clubs in the Houston area. Most of the club’s growth and success has been a result of Willowbrook’s dedicated directors and highly qualified coaching staff. Over 25 female teams, ranging in age from 10 – 18 years, train daily in their own state-of-the-art training facility, Willowbrook Sports Complex. The facility includes 9 volleyball specific courts, a dedicated strength and conditioning gym and a pro shop featuring ASICS shoes and athletic apparel.

“It is our goal to continue to reach out to young individuals who participate in the sport of volleyball and provide a positive experience during their years of competition. A relationship between ASICS and Willowbrook allows young girls to receive the highest technical standard in product, training and expertise,” states Laura Greatbanks, Marketing Manager –Team Sports to ASICS America.

“Willowbrook Volleyball is honored to be selected for this exclusive partnership and to join the company of other great clubs across the country to bear the ASICS trade name,” adds Jeff Hill, founder of the Willowbrook organization. “We are pleased that ASICS shares our ideals in supporting and promoting excellence in girl’s volleyball in Houston, and we are proud to be known from this day forward as ASICS Willowbrook Volleyball Club.”

ASICS Corporation, with more than 50 years of footwear manufacturing experience, offers a full line of performance-driven athletic shoes and technical active sports apparel and accessories. For more information, please visit www.asics.com and www.willowbrooksports.com.

Nationals

All of the teams have returned from Minneapolis, where Nationals were, and we are proud of each of them.

17 Asics won the Bronze medal :) So a big congratulations to them. We also want to recognize and congratulate Christie Dorch and Michele Williams on making the All-Tournament Team!!

Our 16's team placed 32nd in the American division and we are very proud of all their hard work!

15 Asics had a rough start. They were in a three way tie for 2nd in their bracket (with a 4-2 record) and ended up missing the chance to move into the Gold bracket by a small margin. They ended the week with a 6-5 record which is something to be proud of.

Congratulations to all of the teams!
